Stone-Cold Dance

I feel like I’m bleeding,

deep in my soul

There’s no bandage big enough

to cover the hole.

I feel like I’m breaking,

down in my heart

Like there’s somebody, down there,

tearing me apart.

I feel someone dancing

on my spine

I throb to the beat

of their footsteps time.

My body aches with disappointment and revenge

I can only hope someone

will avenge me.

I’m a stone-cold corpse,

lying on a beach.

The cold has leached me

of everything other than pain

And the waves wash me clean,

again and again.

Soon, the tide will rise

and pull me out to sea

My pain will be gone,

and I will be free.

  1. Good day! I could have sworn I’ve visited this website before but after browsing through many of the posts I realized it’s new to me. Regardless, I’m certainly happy I stumbled upon it and I’ll be book-marking it and checking back regularly!
