Silence reigns,

a heavy crown

of words not said

upon his brow.

He has no face,

and his voice echoes

Never heard,

but it rings

in my skull.

His sceptre is covered

with eyes

And he sees all

that you think

but never say.

The very words

inside your brain

Are his,

and he kills them

on your tongue.

There is no house

he does not enter

and there is no

man he does not rule.

Silence reigns heavy

over me.

  1. Wow. I absolutely love this. I think I’ve re-read it at least 5 times now and I love it more each time.

I recently wrote a spoken word poem that I posted on my blog and it would be great if I could get your input. It is definitely no where near being done but I would love your opinion!

I look forward to reading more of your writings. 🙂

    1. Thank you! (Insert smile here) I’m really glad you liked this one. I like it myself.
I’d be thrilled to take a look yours. I’ll do that right now.
And you can be sure that there will many more of my words to follow this.
I’m not letting silence win yet.

Got an opinion?
