She

She
Was insecure
In who she thought she was
So she
Smiled every day
And met failure with a laugh
She
Let no one hear
When she broke inside
Because she
Was so afraid
That all they spoke were lies.
She
Didn’t have much
In the way of money or things
So she
Gave smiles away
Like little golden rings.
She
Wished with all her heart
That one day she’d be loved
But she
Also wished
That love would never come.

About Dagenn

I'm just a persony sort of person. I write things, and sometimes, I put them places for other people to see. I like poetry and shortish stories best. Sometimes I write sad stuff, but I'm actually usually a pretty happy person. Come say hi! View all posts by Dagenn
